This project had a few added features such as a 2ft deep poured area for a 3 ton jib crane, 4 separate floor drains and pex for in floor heating. They were more than capable of dealing with all of this. In fact, Chad's attention to detail even caught the lack of a stub in for water supply line in the utility closet. At about 5:10 Koppel called me back and I gave him the details of what I wanted. The following morning he emailed me over a rough estimate of what it would cost. Price was very fair so I gave him the go ahead. A week later and the other two contractors still had not returned my phone call. When can I drive on my new concrete?
Do not drive on "new" concrete for at least 7 days.
Can I use salt on my concrete?
Do not use salt or other de-icing chemicals on the concrete (This is especially harmful during the first winter). If at all possible, hose off your car of any street salt before parking on concrete.
How often does my decorative concrete need re-sealing?
Depending on the amount of traffic to the area. A good test is to put water on it… if the water beads up there is enough sealer on it.
What is a frost wall?
Frost walls are used when you don’t want a structure to be affected in any way by freeze-thaw cycles of winter. Prevents structures from moving in winter.
